Description: We offer instruction in Hatha yoga (Hatha yoga includes postures for the body, breathing practices and concentration/meditation techniques.) in the Iyengar style (Props are utilized to assist students in practicing poses that they might not have been able to do otherwise.). Our mission is to promote yoga as a lifelong process by providing opportunities and facilities for experience and development in a culture of community. We believe this process can be entered by anyone at any time, regardless of age or fitness level, and, as our name implies, we encourage each person to daily engage in this process as the relationship with yoga is explored. Sunrise Yoga Studio is also the home for Yoga University, in-depth study programs for students who desire to deepen their study of yoga beyond our weekly class offerings. The 200-hour and the 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification Programs offer opportunities for registration through our affiliation with Yoga Alliance.
